Immerse yourself in the study of yoga for the childbearing year! This 40-hour comprehensive training will include how to teach yoga to women in all stages women in all stages of pregnancy and throughout the early stages of postpartum. The training will explore yoga as a tool in preparation for not only childbirth, but for motherhood!

The training will include:
• The effects of pregnancy on the body
• The benefits of yoga in pregnancy and beyond
• Postures to aid common discomforts
• What poses are contraindicated (what to avoid)
• Appropriate pranayama practices
• Prenatal bonding
• Physiology of childbirth
• Yoga for labor
• Mom and baby yoga
• Postpartum issues Observation of classes

Jane Austin has worked with pregnant women and their families since 1990. She weaves her experience as a midwife, doula, childbirth educator, and mother into the training. She is a certified yoga teacher and currently teaches pre- and postnatal yoga in San Francisco. It is her vision to bring yoga to all pregnant women. By training teachers to work with these women, Jane hopes that more women will find the benefits of yoga for themselves, their babies, and their families.
